BFG Machine Tools (BFG) celebrates a milestone next year having been in business for almost twenty-five years. “With our 25-year anniversary approaching, there is no better time than now to take this company to the next level.” Says Dustin Tracey, VP Operations for BFG. “This company has come a long way since it was a one-man-show almost 25 years ago. Since then,we have specifically selected the product lines we sell to coincide with our customers needs here in Alberta and across Saskatchewan and BC. And we have the ability to carry stock, which allows us to anticipate our customer’s needs and have machines ready for when they need it.”
Started in Edmonton by Brian Guild, BFG has grown from one person to over seventeen employees and from one city to currently providing machine tools across Western Canada.
According to Dustin, substantial growth for BFG over the next five years is well within reach. Dustin has a passion and vision for BFG and is dedicated to accomplishing growth based on two principles. “At BFG, we recognize that each company is unique. Understanding each individual need is crucial, and having the ability to meet these needs is what separates BFG from any other machine tool company. Ensuring that we have the right products, as well as the support and service staff to build and maintain strong relationships with our customers is our number one priority.”
Dustin speaks in great length and depth of how important his customer relationships are to him. “BFG is about adding value for our customer, being committed to maintaining a strong relationship with them, and ensuring that they are treated with care and respect.” “The people we’ve hired have been carefully chosen to ensure we have the best of the best to give our customer. Our office administrative, business development, and marketing personal all have very extensive knowledge and experience in their roles. And in addition to the apprenticeship programs we offer our service technicians, the BFG Service First team has been assembled in the way that each individual brings a major strength to the team, ensuring that BFG Service is diverse in machine knowledge and expertise.”
BFG will be hosting its second Open House this year with an Oktoberfest Celebration on October 18th. Other events customers can look forward to are the BFG Machine Tools 25-year Anniversary celebration next year, as well as the BFG Golf Tournament. These and other events and initiatives are all a part of what customers can expect to see from BFG for years to come, says Dustin. “We are very excited moving forward with a new and fresh team, business model, vision and brand. Our mission is to invest in our people, our processes, and our knowledge base, seeking out new technology and continually providing efficient and profitable solutions for our customer.”
